Toups: That might tip the scale for me, although Silent Hill is the kind of game that gets ruined if you have to spend a lot of money on it.
Toups: It’s like paying $400 for a creepy old homeless man to touch your toes for ten hours.
aderack: There’s a quote for something.
I thought yesterday how much I want a new Silent Hill.
I thought yesterday about porn.
Wait, why would you have to spend 400 bucks on a Silent Hill game?
I recently finished SH4. It was decent enough, but I’m now convinced that it just is never gonna get better or more terrifying than the first one was. So I’m kinda hoping the series hibernates for a while.
Have you listened to that music yet?
Next-gen systems.
You’re in luck. It is hibernating, while the team tries to figure out something interesting to do with it. When it does come out, it’ll be on the next generation of hardware. That’s… all we really know about it so far.
No! The message is still in my inbox, to remind me to do so.
In the meantime, you should play Killer 7. It’s the conceptual successor to the original Silent Hill.
It’s not as scary, of course (unless you’re Tim). But it’s still probably going to be my game of the year.
I’ve still not played it since that first session. Still distracted by other games, other things.
$400 should get you at least fourteen hours, or no more than five, depending.
It can wait. And yet it can’t. Wait till you can devote your full energy to it, and then spend a good week on it.
It only needs to be played once, but it begs to be played again once you finish.

A window to the future?!
